Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and authorize new customer accounts while confirming necessary documentation.

• Update and uphold customer account details, including modifications and corrections.

• Create, evaluate, and process precise and compliant invoices.

• Examine billing information and proactively tackle any discrepancies.

• Work together with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing challenges and clarify account information.

• Address customer inquiries regarding billing and account status, and manage disputes effectively.

• Keep organized accounts receivable records and documentation for audits, reconciliations, and management reporting.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, financial controls, and regulatory standards.

• Engage in enhancements of the billing process, system upgrades, and policy revisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in financial transactions, billing, or accounts receivable roles within a corporate setting.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Proficient in billing software and ERP systems.

• Strong skills in data entry and validation with a keen eye for detail.

• Capability to analyze account data, identify discrepancies, and efficiently resolve billing issues.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external clients.

• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple accounts and billing responsibilities simultaneously.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and internal controls pertinent to billing and accounts receivable.

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
