Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver billing services and comprehensive revenue cycle solutions to healthcare clients, which include nursing homes, professional services, hospitals, D&TC, OPWDD, OASAS, home health, legal entities, and third-party payers.

• Offer revenue cycle support to Beacon clients, team members, and employees of the firm.

• Execute outsourced billing service tasks such as charge entry, payment posting, claims submission and follow-up, as well as coding and auditing.

• Provide assistance with cash recovery initiatives, including monitoring project productivity.

• Aid in diagnostic evaluations of revenue cycles to identify opportunities for optimal performance practices.

• Contribute to the preparation of written reports.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance services for individual clients and formulate recommendations for service adjustments as necessary.

• Work Monday through Friday during standard office hours, with the possibility of additional hours during peak periods as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of an associate's degree.

• At least three years of billing experience in a physician, hospital, or nursing home setting.

• Strong comprehension of revenue cycle processes.

• Willingness to travel within New York.

• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

• Preferred experience with behavioral health or substance use disorder organizations.

• Preferred experience in denial management and insurance appeals.

• Certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), or a similar credential is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ePACES and FISS DDE is preferred.
