Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the complete billing lifecycle while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue processing.

• Uphold billing integrity across enrollment data, claims activities, and invoicing procedures.

• Assist in resolving pharmacy billing issues, which includes handling rebills, claim rejections, and insurance discrepancies.

• Collaborate with operational teams and network pharmacies to investigate and address PBM and billing concerns.

• Process and document billing adjustments, such as medication return credits.

• Create billing schedules and documentation for both internal reviews and external audits.

• Support the onboarding of new clients or service transitions to maintain billing continuity.

• Aid in annual PACE audits, quarterly PBM audits, and other internal or external evaluations.

• Coordinate cross-functionally with operations, pharmacy network partners, and finance leadership.

• Represent AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare billing, pharmacy operations, revenue cycle, or similar financial operations is required.

• Experience in supporting PACE programs or PBM billing is preferred.

• Strong grasp of billing operations and revenue cycle workflows.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate cross-functionally and clearly communicate with operational stakeholders.

• High level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through.

• Proficient in Excel and comfortable navigating multiple systems and billing platforms.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Must be able to commute to various site locations within the assigned territory.

• Extended hours may be required as needed.

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm ET.

• Expected to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside normal business hours on an ad-hoc basis.
