Billing Representative – Sleep

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Examine denied insurance claims to determine root causes and develop resolution strategies.

• Address patient billing inquiries with professionalism through phone and email communication.

• Handle internal billing inquiries with professionalism via phone and email.

• Clarify explanation of benefits (EOBs) and coverage details to patients.

• Employ various systems to manage tasks and improve workflow efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with internal team members and external stakeholders.

• Ensure strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Stay informed about and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Basic understanding of health insurance models and guidelines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and medical billing systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Self-motivated with a positive outlook and eagerness to learn.

• High level of professionalism and discretion.

• 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle management (preferred).

• 1–2 years of customer service experience, which may be combined with the above (preferred).

• Previous exposure to Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial payer guidelines (preferred).

• Experience with CPAP billing, DME billing, or sleep therapy (preferred).
