Billing Operation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Act as a key liaison among Financial Operations, Operations, Clients, and Accounting regarding daily billing activities.

• Prepare and assess monthly invoices in accordance with client agreements and internal protocols.

• Oversee the monthly billing schedule and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), identify potential risks, and assist in meeting deadlines.

• Review and interpret monthly reports generated from NetSuite and other billing platforms.

• Investigate discrepancies and compile summaries of findings for management.

• Support and mentor junior billing operations specialists with monthly billing reconciliations and variance analyses.

• Assist with collections, payment portals, and accounts receivable functions.

• Ensure compliance with billing governance, invoice documentation, third-party portal uploads, and control standards.

• Develop and adhere to processes for receiving, logging, and reconciling client Purchase Orders.

• Manage ad-hoc reporting requests and guarantee precise, consistent outputs.

• Identify and implement enhancements to billing and receivables processes, controls, and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, work instructions, and SOX/compliance requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate Degree in Accounting or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent work experience and/or training.

• Experience in collecting receivables within the medical/pharma industry is desirable.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.

• Capability to work independently and demonstrate sound business judgment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.

• Over 1 year of experience in a corporate finance setting focusing on revenue accounting for a SaaS company with multiple element arrangements.
