Billing Associate – 12-month FTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily billing operations of Swap, with a primary emphasis on Shipping billing and onboarding of customers.

• Oversee the Finance onboarding process for new clients, which includes setting up billing, managing Direct Debit mandates, and collecting customer information.

• Aid in the customer termination and churn processes, encompassing the calculation of termination fees and collaboration with Credit Control.

• Conduct reviews of the first invoices and probe into any initial billing discrepancies for newly onboarded clients.

• Prepare and assess Shipping billing calculations while resolving associated customer and internal inquiries.

• Execute billing reconciliations, investigate exceptions, and maintain precise billing records along with supporting documentation.

• Assist in the implementation and testing of new billing tools aimed at consolidating data and automating current manual processes.

• Promote the adoption of automation and AI-driven workflows within billing, reconciliations, and exception detection.

• Provide general support for Billing and Credit Control while contributing to enhancements in processes, controls, and data quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Billing, Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or a comparable role.

• Proficient in Excel with a strong capability to work with large datasets.

• Excellent numerical skills coupled with a keen attention to detail.

• Competent in investigating discrepancies and following issues through to resolution.

• Experience with transactional or usage-based billing is advantageous.

• Interest in systems, automation, and the integration of AI in Finance operations.

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

• Capacity to take initiative and work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to function as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on implementer.

• Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and change, taking ownership, and building rather than maintaining.

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
