This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Document patient consultations and procedures in real-time during appointments.
• Prepare and review medical charts prior to and following patient visits.
• Accurately capture:
• - Patient histories
• - Exam findings
• - Treatment plans
• - Clinical notes
• Format documentation utilizing:
• - SOAP notes
• - Provider-specific templates
• - EMR/EHR systems
• Maintain precise and organized medical records.
• Assist in provider follow-ups and patient communication workflows.
• Support with:
• - Orders
• - Documentation updates
• - Clinical coordination
• - Administrative follow-up tasks
• Verify prescriptions and initiate prior authorizations as necessary.
• Coordinate documentation with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
• Aid in maintaining efficient patient flow and enhancing provider productivity.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure strict patient confidentiality.
• Guarantee that all medical documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for audits.
• Adhere to provider documentation standards and clinical workflows.
• Remain informed on medical terminology and best practices in healthcare documentation.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) — REQUIRED.
• English proficiency level: C1 or higher is mandatory.
• A minimum of 6+ months of experience as a:
• - Medical scribe
• - Dental scribe
• - Clinical documentation specialist for U.S.-based healthcare providers.
• Graduates from an allied medical program are strongly preferred:
• - MD
• - DMD
• - RN
• - Other similar healthcare-related backgrounds.
• Minimum typing speed of 70+ WPM.
• Strong understanding of:
• - Medical terminology
• - Clinical documentation standards
• - SOAP note formatting
• - Healthcare workflows.
• Experience with:
• - EMR/EHR systems
• - Medical documentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in:
• - Google Workspace
• - Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in fast-paced clinical settings.
