Bilingual Indonesian STEM Expert – AI Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Develop expert-level prompts in Indonesian across specialized scientific disciplines.

• Assess and annotate model outputs for scientific precision, usefulness, and appropriate management of sensitive content.

• Utilize structured guidelines to categorize prompts and discussions.

• Contribute to the training and refinement of advanced AI models using human scientific expertise.

• Engage in projects for top AI laboratories and companies.

• Complete tasks on a self-directed, flexible timetable.

• Project durations may vary, being extended, shortened, or concluded early based on requirements and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related discipline, either ongoing or completed.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Indonesian.

• Business-level proficiency in written English.

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary laboratory and computational methods relevant to the specific subfield.

• Strong judgment regarding scientific safety and responsible management of dual-use information.

• Capability to write prompts in areas such as chemistry, biology, or radiological and nuclear topics.

• Applicants must not require H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship at this time.

• Engagement as an independent contractor.

• A chemistry background with radiological and nuclear coverage is acceptable, including radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.

• Proven expertise in a specific scientific subfield.

• Research or coursework related to chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.

• Experience in reviewing, grading, or conducting red team evaluations of technical content is preferred.

• Preference for candidates based in Indonesia or the broader Southeast Asia region, but not mandatory.
