Bilingual Hotline Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming inquiries via telephone, text, and chat.

• Perform assessments to identify the nature of inquiries and deliver immediate psychosocial support, evidence-based information, and brief interventions.

• Provide education to help-seekers regarding perinatal mental health resources and services.

• Refer help-seekers to relevant services and resources listed in approved directories.

• Ensure comprehensive, accurate, detailed, and timely real-time case documentation in Salesforce, adhering to established policies and procedures.

• Uphold professionalism in virtual workspaces and communication platforms.

• Engage fully with the remote team, including communication during shifts via Slack and other designated channels.

• Safeguard help-seeker privacy and confidentiality.

• Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and development activities for the Hotline project.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) is preferred.

• Proficiency in Spanish is required.

• Must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Healthcare Professional with maternal and child health experience, or a National or State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist.

• A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in your field, specifically with the maternal and child health population.

• Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate.

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, internet browsers, and search directories.

• Capability to manage conflict and endure distress while assisting help-seekers.

• Must be able to multitask and manage potentially unpredictable and high-acuity contacts in the mental health environment.

• Capacity to work independently and complete tasks according to provided instructions, routines, and accepted practices.

• Ability to adjust to immediate changes and requirements in policies, procedures, processes, and guidance.

• Must pass a Non-Sensitive Tier II - Moderate Check and Clearance background check administered by HHS.

• Completion of all required training in accordance with Postpartum Support International policies and procedures.

• Commitment to the organization's vision and mission is essential.

• Must maintain optimal high-speed internet connectivity.

• Utilization of a quiet and secure office space to ensure privacy and confidentiality is required.

• Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and relevant standards, including productivity standards.

• Regularly sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear; extensive computer use necessitates adequate hand dexterity and the ability to read a computer screen.
