Bilingual Fraud Inbound Analyst, French/English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations to identify, evaluate, decide on, and report activities that indicate exposure to financial crimes.

• Assess, document, manage, and escalate potential threats and investigations in line with standard operating procedures.

• Provide subject matter expertise and oversight of criminal risk through intelligence-based detection and research.

• Formulate recommendations for enhancing processes and customer service.

• Monitor trends in financial-crime risk, regulations, and compliance standards.

• Analyze information from detection systems, tools, reports, and manual sources to determine necessary actions.

• Assist in evidence collection for incident reports, loss prevention, litigation, prosecution, management information, statistics, and process enhancements.

• Record investigation actions and findings in account and case files.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of financial-crime management processes, frameworks, and techniques.

• Gather and organize data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.

• Analyze data and information to deliver insights and recommendations.

• Execute routine service requests, transactions, and queries while adhering to service-level agreements.

• Inform and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding incidents.

• Complete complex and diverse tasks while managing escalations.

• Analyze issues and determine appropriate next steps.

• Implement BMO's Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions in compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.

• Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements relevant to financial crimes is advantageous.

• Familiarity with banking products, services, processes, and the organization is beneficial.

• Specialized knowledge is required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Excellent organizational skills are necessary.

• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills are important.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.

• Fluency in both French and English is necessary.

• Capability to support clients and team members within and/or outside the province of Quebec is essential.
