This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software systems and equipment for clients.
• Serve as the service representative for designated customers.
• Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction is upheld.
• Manage and maintain equipment, parts, and inventory to promptly address service requests.
• Carry out installations, repairs, diagnoses, issue resolutions, necessary modifications, and assigned duties at customer locations.
• Perform after-hours work on a rotating on-call basis.
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and safe.
• Travel legally, safely, and courteously to and from customer locations.
• Fulfill administrative, reporting, and mandatory training obligations.
• Deliver packages to courier depots or airports during emergencies or outside of standard courier pickup hours.
• Assist in the setup for commercial showcase events.
• Support the sales team as a service representative during negotiations at banner headquarters and chain levels.
• Help with periodic evaluations of equipment performance data.
• Promote a culture of excellence and prioritize customer service.
• Adhere to McKesson Canada’s LeadRx and ICARE principles.
• Travel frequently within a designated region and occasionally across Canada.
• Provide on-call support and installations during evenings and weekends.
• A college degree in Electronics, Robotics, or Electro-mechanics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Over 5 years of experience in the Field Service Technician (FST) role.
• Familiarity with pneumatic and robotics systems, including troubleshooting and repair, is beneficial.
• Experience with complex electronic control systems, including troubleshooting and repair, is a plus.
• Background in a pharmacy IT environment is advantageous.
• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is beneficial.
• Familiarity with hospital automation and healthcare automation is an asset.
• Ability to learn and understand McKesson Automation equipment and apply knowledge effectively.
• Capacity to learn and comprehend McKesson pharmacy solutions, Reflex Rx, and POS from an IT standpoint.
• The employee will utilize their own vehicle for travel.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in effective communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Relevant experience in frontline, field-based technical customer service is a significant asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
• Customer-focused, team-oriented, and maintains a positive attitude.
• Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and can work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with team members across various departments.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be physically capable of lifting large boxes and equipment weighing up to 30 kg and performing installation tasks in cabinetry and elevated areas.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential for daily support to clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States.
