This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a portfolio of K-12 and cooperative foodservice accounts
• Foster customer retention, drive profitable growth, ensure program compliance, and enhance long-term partnership value
• Maintain consistent communication with customers through business reviews, personal visits, meetings, and systematic follow-ups
• Act as the key point of contact between customers, cooperative organizations, vendors, and internal US Foods teams
• Formulate account strategies to recognize customer needs, boost sales opportunities, support new account development, and deepen customer engagement
• Assist with school-year menu planning and forecasting, including year-end wrap-up, summer feeding initiatives, and initial orders
• Manage customer forecasts, proprietary inventory requirements, delivery needs, service levels, and product availability
• Keep precise account profiles, order guides, statements, pricing details, forecasts, reports, and contract-related documentation
• Supervise product mix, branded objectives, stocking agreements, product launches, receipt confirmations, and customer-specific product needs
• Engage with customers regarding shared performance, service metrics, shortages, market trends, new offerings, programs, and strategic initiatives
• Evaluate sales trends, purchasing behaviors, pricing programs, rebates, bid specifications, incentive agreements, and contract adherence
• Collaborate with Credit, Finance, Merchandising, Procurement, Operations, Transportation, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to address issues
• Represent US Foods at sales meetings, training sessions, food shows, conferences, and industry events
• Contribute as needed as a subject matter expert on K-12 foodservice and procurement initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
• Minimum of 3 years in sales support, sales, customer service, or relevant business experience
• Proven ability to develop and sustain customer relationships
• Experience in Contract Management
• Familiarity with utilizing quantitative and qualitative research data
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong customer service and presentation capabilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and negotiation
• Capability to conduct analyses and make fact-based decisions regarding contract compliance
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience
• Must reside within the designated Market
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations within the assigned Market as necessary
