Bengali Language Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accurately convey concepts and meanings between Bengali and English, adhering to the complexity, clarity, tone, and style of each language.

• Maintain proper grammar and syntax rules in both languages.

• Deliver precise interpretations of messages, capturing every detail of conversations.

• Manage challenging calls at any time.

• Utilize strong customer service and communication skills with clear enunciation, pronunciation, a pleasant and professional voice, and courteous expressions.

• Adhere to client instructions and manage call flow without dominating the conversation.

• Refrain from interacting with limited-English speakers without client consent.

• Stay composed when speakers are incoherent or upset, particularly during emergencies.

• Be punctual and available during scheduled work hours.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Native proficiency in both English and Bengali.

• B2/HSK4 certification is mandatory.

• Advanced understanding of cultural dynamics, cultural implications, and idiomatic expressions in the language.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.

• Capable of focusing, remaining detached from the conversation, and staying neutral and objective.

• Ability to clarify cultural concepts with the client's approval or upon request.

• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts.

• Availability for 5 working days with 2 rotational days off.

• Internet access for work-related electronic communications.
