Bengali Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bangladesh.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Understand the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Ensure that all messages are rendered accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Bengali."

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation agency.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
