Benefits Verification Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Verify insurance coverage for both new and existing patients

• Efficiently process patient prescription orders

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers

• Operate within a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm

• Complete the Virtual Job Tryout (VJT) as part of the application process

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing, or patient/healthcare customer service

• A verifiable high school diploma or GED is required

• Strong attention to detail is essential

• Proficient problem-solving skills

• Background in pharmacy or the healthcare sector

• Familiarity with insurance carriers and concepts such as drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage

• Knowledge of government and patient assistance programs

• Availability to work 40 hours from Monday to Friday within the hours of 8am to 6pm

• Willingness to complete the Virtual Job Tryout (VJT)

• A Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a healthcare-related field is preferred

• Experience in pharmacy is preferred

• Previous experience with Prior Authorizations is preferred

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party vendors is preferred

• Healthcare-related certifications and/or licensure are preferred
