This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
β’ Act as the primary point of contact for internal staff and partner teams concerning coverage, claims, and enrollment.
β’ Guide US employees to Sparrow for leave assistance.
β’ Manage the inbox and direct inquiries to the appropriate teams.
β’ Provide support for leave-of-absence cases outside of the US.
β’ Facilitate coordination and support for both external and internal partners.
β’ Create and distribute employee communications regarding benefit changes or updates.
β’ Execute regular and on-demand audits; investigate and address discrepancies.
β’ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on benefit plan management.
β’ Organize broker/carrier training sessions.
β’ Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
β’ Maintain digital archives of plan documents and employee resources.
β’ Ensure HIPAA compliance is upheld.
β’ Oversee the administration of the 401(k) plan.
β’ Conduct necessary internal and external system testing and reviews.
β’ Attend weekly meetings to escalate and resolve employee-related issues.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits and leave of absence administration.
β’ Experience in US and non-US leave of absence administration and benefits.
β’ Knowledge of standard regulations and compliance practices related to leaves of absence and benefit plans, including FMLA, USERRA, PFL, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and GDPR.
β’ Familiarity with HRIS; experience with Workday is advantageous.
β’ Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is beneficial.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively.
β’ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
β’ Capacity to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
β’ Adaptability to manage ambiguity and adjust to changing business or client demands.
β’ Comfort in a fast-paced work setting.
β’ Preference for EST; open to candidates in Canada or the United States.
β’ Availability for a full-time 40-hour work week with no overtime.
