Behavioral Health Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of Therapists and Care Extenders to execute programs, assist members, and achieve results for health plan partners.

• Collaborate with Therapists and Care Extenders to enhance skills and provide direct support to members in difficult situations.

• Develop member service plans utilizing screenings, discussions, data analysis, and knowledge of community resources.

• Assist members in addressing issues and triggers, enhancing relapse prevention, and mitigating risk.

• Promote workforce skills and engagement in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.

• Educate members on mental and physical health issues, abuse, violence prevention, medication, and community resources.

• Monitor, assess, and document member progress against specific, measurable objectives.

• Create accountability communications for upcoming appointments.

• Collaborate with members, families, physicians, and other providers to minimize unnecessary resource use.

• Report critical incidents and quality-of-care concerns.

• Formulate communication strategies to engage member groups and facilitate goal attainment.

• Evaluate risk and provide crisis intervention based on safety plans.

• Develop and manage community resource guides.

• Identify behavioral health diagnoses and ensure the development of comprehensive and suitable service plans.

• Lead CareMind teams to assess needs, sustain care plans, and support progress toward successful outcomes.

• Manage caseloads and referrals; ensure team schedules align with program requirements.

• Participate in the screening, interviewing, and hiring of team members.

• Provide orientation and training, conduct performance evaluations, and coach team effectiveness.

• Direct enrollment initiatives for new or existing markets.

• Ensure that Key Performance Indicators are met or surpassed.

• Perform documentation reviews to maintain quality and facilitate training.

• Analyze team performance, identify deficiencies, and develop improvement strategies.

• Gather and synthesize member-outcome data for training, market insights, partner relations, and results.

• Lead internal case review sessions and attend external case-management meetings with health plan partners.

• Maintain program-related and administrative data, reports, statistical records, and other data-collection efforts.

• Collaborate with billing to review claims for accuracy and provide supplementary information as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in behavioral health, social work, or health care management from an accredited institution is required.

• An independent clinical behavioral health license in the state of Nevada is required.

• Eligible licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist.

• Proven experience in leading, developing, and implementing programs while delivering measurable outcomes.

• Preferably experienced in Health Coaching or Medical Social Work.

• Experience with suicide prevention and crisis management in adolescent and young adult populations, as well as with severe mental illness, is preferred.

• Background in managing interdisciplinary care teams is preferred.

• Experience ensuring that care is provided in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Ability to establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships and partnerships.

• Demonstrated history of identifying needs and taking initiative to implement changes.

• Capable of planning, organizing, managing time effectively, prioritizing various tasks and assignments, and following through.

• Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to convey information clearly and accurately to staff, business partners, stakeholders, and clients.

• Proficient in working collaboratively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve issues, and make decisions.

• Ability to provide case/care management in both routine and crisis circumstances.
