Behavioral Health Clinician, LCSW/LPCC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver assessment and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and groups.

• Engage in a comprehensive Behavioral Health team, offering consultation and liaison services in emergency departments and inpatient medical units.

• Support clinical intake across inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient clinics, Behavioral Health Service Line, and Primary Care Service Lines.

• Identify, triage, and manage patients experiencing behavioral health issues in diverse settings.

• Provide skill training through patient education techniques.

• Create behavioral health change plans tailored for individual patients and protocols for targeted populations.

• Conduct counseling and case management, which includes assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, brief psychotherapy, educational groups, discharge planning, and evaluation.

• Exhibit genuineness, empathy, and positive regard in interactions with patients and their significant others.

• Complete documentation for risk management and follow-up actions, including addressing complaints and contributing to resolution and adverse-risk reports.

• Suggest program cost-control measures to the supervisor.

• Engage in internal Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, including peer review, audits, Joint Commission survey preparation, and clinical-path implementation.

• Select and provide clinical supervision to adjunctive therapists and student interns.

• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date patient-chart documentation.

• Recommend safety and therapeutic-quality measures for unit areas or rooms.

• Act as a professional role model and clinical consultant for staff.

• Participate in ongoing internal and external professional development opportunities.

• Carry out other required functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree.

• NM LCSW or LPCC certification.

• Deliver assessment and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and groups.

• Experience or capability to operate within integrated care, consultation and liaison, emergency department, inpatient, psychiatric, outpatient, and primary care environments.

• Capability to identify, triage, and manage patients with behavioral health concerns.

• Ability to deliver skill training through patient education techniques.

• Competence in developing behavioral health change plans and protocols.

• Proficiency in performing assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, case management, brief psychotherapy, educational groups, and discharge planning.

• Ability to finalize risk management documentation and follow-up actions.

• Capability to engage in Continuous Quality Improvement processes, peer review, audits, Joint Commission survey preparation, and clinical-path implementation.

• Proficient in providing clinical supervision to adjunctive therapists and student interns.

• Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and current patient-chart documentation.
