Bankruptcy Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee a comprehensive, high-volume bankruptcy caseload across the state from initiation to resolution.

• Draft and file motions, pleadings, Proofs of Claim, Payment Change Notices, and various other legal documents.

• Perform Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and compose plan objections when necessary.

• Participate in both virtual and in-person court hearings.

• Coordinate with the firm, clients, courts, trustees, and external counsel.

• Manage time-sensitive escalations effectively.

• Ensure precise updates in the client management system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is mandatory.

• Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing is required.

• Preferred but not required: three (3+) years of experience in bankruptcy law.

• Familiarity with Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 13, and plan confirmation is preferred.

• Ability to thrive in high-volume, deadline-oriented environments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Willingness to travel as necessary for hearings and court appearances.

• Strong commitment to ethical practices and client confidentiality.

• Experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation is advantageous.

• Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, or TILA is a plus.

• Background in foreclosure law is an added benefit.

• Must complete pre-employment screening.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
