This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Timely reconciliation of assigned GSE and asset bank accounts, along with loan activities, in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines.
• Daily balancing of cashbook to pinpoint remittance discrepancies between the loan servicing system and remittance reports.
• Verification of bank statement activities against the loan servicing system and GSE reports.
• Engage with internal teams and business units to ensure processes align with both internal and external guidelines.
• Foster and maintain working relationships with internal and external business groups to promptly resolve issues.
• Support internal, external, investor, regulatory, and state audit examination requests.
• Produce error log reports and adhere to escalation procedures for process disruptions.
• Assess payment applications for compliance with investor and company standards.
• Evaluate new reporting formats and suggested alterations to reconciliation requirements.
• Ensure the implementation and functionality of new servicing and reporting requirements.
• Uphold policies and procedures in accordance with both company and investor guidelines.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Some college education is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, particularly in investor accounting and/or reporting, is required.
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures as well as government regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-resolution capabilities.
• Proficient in preparing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries from both internal and external sources.
• Competence in solving practical problems and managing a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Capability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment alongside strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and a proactive self-starter.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and quickly respond to emerging issues.
