This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
β’ Take ownership of and improve models, dashboards, and data workflows that support the loan portfolio strategy.
β’ Create financial models that evaluate options such as holding, selling, participation, syndication, and other alternatives.
β’ Conduct analysis on pricing, anticipated sale proceeds, gains or losses upon sale, retained economics, funding-cost savings, capital impacts, and future revenue trade-offs.
β’ Develop valuation, cash flow, profitability, balance sheet forecasting, and scenario models.
β’ Create ROA and balance sheet optimization models for both historical portfolio performance and new business origination.
β’ Identify and assess loans and portfolios for potential sale based on economic factors, strategic alignment, concentration, and balance sheet utilization.
β’ Assist in the loan-sale lifecycle by performing portfolio stratifications, valuations, bid comparisons, transaction recommendations, forecasts, and post-transaction performance assessments.
β’ Construct Power BI data models and dashboards, utilizing SQL, Matillion, or similar tools to integrate data and automate ongoing analyses.
β’ Specify data capture, reporting, and governance requirements for off-balance-sheet activities.
β’ Set standards for validation, reconciliation, change-control, and documentation; keep organized materials in SharePoint.
β’ Monitor transactions against assumptions, convert results and investor feedback into actionable recommendations, and present insights to management and governance committees.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or data analytics, information systems, mathematics, or a related discipline.
β’ Between two to five years of experience in banking, commercial lending, treasury, capital markets, portfolio analytics, FP&A, or transaction advisory.
β’ Proficient in financial modeling, including valuation, cash flow analysis, forecasting, and scenario analysis; advanced Excel skills are essential.
β’ Experience in developing Power BI data models and dashboards and working with large loan-level or financial datasets; familiarity with SQL is preferred.
β’ Background in using Matillion, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, or another data-integration platform is desirable; experience with SharePoint is advantageous.
β’ Capability to independently structure intricate analytical challenges and effectively communicate clear recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; preference for candidates with experience in loan-sale, syndication, securitization, commercial loan pricing, or balance sheet management.
