Balance Sheet Accountant, Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Prepare statutory financial statements (monthly and annual) independently, adhering to German GAAP (HGB).

• Assist in the consolidation of group financial statements across various entities.

• Contribute to the development of the accounting function within an international corporate group.

• Act as a key point of contact for tax and accounting inquiries in a global setting.

• Coordinate with external tax advisors to prepare tax returns.

• Oversee Finance processes and manage international projects.

• Implement and introduce e-invoicing processes.

• Enhance and optimize transfer pricing processes, including documentation and intercompany billing.

• Drive the digitization and automation of accounting processes.

• Evolve into an SAP S/4HANA Key User for Finance Accounting.

• Provide expertise and development support to junior accountants.

• Collaborate closely with international teams and other cross-functional departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of commercial training, with additional qualifications as a Balance Sheet Accountant, Certified International Accountant (CINA), or a degree in Business Administration.

• A minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience in accounting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in preparing financial statements in compliance with HGB.

• Strong understanding of accounting and tax legislation applicable to GmbH and GmbH & Co. KG legal entities.

• Fluent in both German and English.

• Self-motivated, analytical, and organized work style.

• Excellent persuasive abilities, proactive initiative, and a high level of dedication.
