Backend Team Lead – Scanner, B2B Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the team's performance across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality outcomes in every sprint.

• Take ownership of the Sprint Planning process.

• Serve as the main connection between the team and various departments to eliminate obstacles and facilitate cross-team dependencies.

• Enhance team velocity and individual skills through coaching, mentoring, and identifying areas for improvement.

• Manage the technical design of team features, guaranteeing scalability, reliability, and clean architecture.

• Engage in high-scale, cloud-based development utilizing AWS and MongoDB.

• Perform thorough code reviews.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to conceptualize features from initial ideas to production.

• Participate in technical discussions with customers.

• Act as a key point for domain-related conversations and maintain communication with internal Customer Success team members.

• Lead discussions and make technical decisions regarding enhancements and the planning of new features.

• Incorporate AI tools and workflows into the daily development process, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and prompt-driven prototyping.

• Promote efficiency, quality, and modern development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on development experience.

• At least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.

• Extensive knowledge of Node.js (required).

• Experience with React (preferred).

• Familiarity with AWS (required).

• Experience in Python is an advantage.

• Early adopter of AI technologies and enthusiastic about leveraging AI to enhance developer experience and system performance.

• Proven success in managing project execution and delivering comprehensive features in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to lead a global team and convey complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
