Backend Software Engineer Intern – C#/Java, AI Workflows

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend processing pipelines utilizing C# or Java.

• Craft efficient SQL queries for SQL Server.

• Assist with deployments on the Microsoft Azure platform.

• Utilize AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot, MCPs, and AI APIs for specification-driven development, rapid prototyping, and automated task execution.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices in microservices and message-driven architectures like Kafka.

• Partner with engineers and Product Managers to create robust backend systems and AI-integrated workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Must have completed at least the Sophomore year by the start of the internship.

• Proficiency in C# is preferred, or alternatively, Java.

• Strong foundational skills in databases, particularly SQL and SQL Server.

• Familiarity with API design concepts.

• Understanding of backend processing architectures.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.

• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or APIs, such as Cursor, Copilot, or MCPs.

• Awareness of event streaming technologies, such as Kafka, or messaging architectures is a plus.
