This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop the subscription lifecycle, including renewal, credit, and plan-change logic to determine customer charges and subsequent actions.

• Ensure the accuracy of payment events and the reliability of webhooks, as these are critical for fulfillment.

• Integrate payment processors and orchestration APIs, managing authorization/capture, refunds, retries, and edge cases.

• Implement automated test coverage in conjunction with development, covering scenarios such as partial credits and multi-cycle renewals.

• Optionally engage with React surfaces supported by the APIs; in-depth frontend work is not a requirement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with backend TypeScript/Node in a production environment — including services, APIs, and asynchronous workflows, rather than just scripting.

• Strong preference for candidates with payments or billing experience — particularly in subscriptions, webhooks, PSP integrations (like Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, or similar), or other domains requiring financial accuracy (such as ledgers, lending, or e-commerce checkout).

• Proficiency in Postgres — capable of defending schema design and queries during a review.

• An eagerness to learn Go — while some parts of the platform are built in Go services, prior knowledge is not necessary from day one, but a desire to learn it is essential.

• A testing-oriented mindset — you write tests concurrently with your code.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows — utilizing AI engineering tools as a standard part of your work is expected, not optional.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English, with availability during US business hours.
