Backend Developer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Python.

• Create and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Collaborate with Microsoft Azure to design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions; experience with GCP is also acceptable.

• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines along with automated testing workflows.

• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes in production settings.

• Engage in an Agile/Scrum team environment and take part in code reviews, planning sessions, and architecture discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant commercial experience as a Python Backend Developer (mid–senior level).

• Practical experience with Azure (App Services, Functions, AKS, Storage, etc.).

• Familiarity with FastAPI and/or Django.

• Demonstrated experience in designing RESTful APIs and scalable microservice architectures.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment workflows.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

• Comfortable communicating in English and collaborating within cross-functional teams.

• Extensive knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.

• Comprehension of cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization.

• Understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Skilled in Git and collaborative development practices.

• Awareness of security best practices within cloud and backend environments.
