Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications, services, and APIs.

• Create backend components that support Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning use cases.

• Work with both structured and unstructured data to facilitate analytics, reporting, and informed decision-making.

• Develop and optimize data pipelines and integrations for AI/ML and business intelligence applications.

• Prepare, process, and validate datasets in collaboration with data and analytics teams.

• Integrate backend systems with Power BI and other business intelligence platforms.

• Develop APIs and services to deliver analytical and machine learning outputs.

• Troubleshoot application problems and address performance bottlenecks.

• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing improvement efforts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Keep abreast of advancements in backend development, AI, ML, and data analytics technologies and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of backend development concepts, APIs, databases, and server-side programming.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data integration, dashboards, reports, or business intelligence workflows.

• Knowledge or practical experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and applications.

• Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) concepts, algorithms, model development, or ML-powered applications.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Understanding of databases, data structures, APIs, and data-processing workflows.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Good grasp of the software development lifecycle, along with debugging, testing, and version control processes.

• Background or exposure to Data Science and statistical concepts.

• Experience in data analytics, data visualization, and extracting insights from datasets.

• Knowledge of PHP and PHP-based backend frameworks.

• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages commonly used in AI/ML and analytics.

• Exposure to cloud platforms, data pipelines, or machine learning frameworks.

• Experience with SQL and both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• 0–5 years of professional experience in backend development, software engineering, data, AI/ML, or related fields.

• Fresh graduates with strong academic projects or practical exposure to backend development, Power BI, AI, or ML may also be considered.
