Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and provide support for applications utilizing Java and JVM-based technologies

• Create and integrate microservices and APIs

• Collaborate with Spring Boot and Node.js in distributed architectures

• Engage in defining and executing technical solutions that emphasize scalability, performance, and maintainability

• Operate within containerized environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes

• Contribute to CI/CD processes, continuous integration, and automated deployment

• Create and sustain unit tests, implementing TDD and BDD

• Participate in agile teams, particularly employing Scrum methodologies

• Play a role in advancing DevOps practices and enhancing software quality

• Work with both public and private cloud infrastructures

• Adhere to best practices and maintain code that is readable, testable, secure, and easy to manage

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering

• Relevant background with Java and/or JVM-based languages

• Experience in developing and managing systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js)

• Familiarity with service containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift

• Proficiency with DevOps tools like Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam

• Understanding of continuous integration, automated deployment, and unit testing practices

• Knowledge of TDD, BDD, and the Scrum framework

• Familiarity with private and public cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

• Dedication to writing code that is clear, well-tested, and easy to uphold

• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes
