Back-end Engineer – Integration and AI, PHP/Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Development of new features

• Integration of AI services and models utilizing Python, APIs, and microservices

• Designing databases

• Systems architecture design

• Ensuring quality assurance

• Engaging in project-based development, focusing on a specific project for a designated period

• Collaborating with the engineering team to implement new features and enhancements to the server back-end, including authentication systems, storage solutions, and audio/video chat functionalities

• Incorporating AI into the Nextcloud platform, featuring LLMs, speech-to-text capabilities, and image processing services

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical proficiency in PHP along with some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Experience in Python for AI and machine learning integrations

• Familiarity with one or more front-end frameworks such as VueJS, React, Angular, or Svelte

• Knowledge of AI and LLM frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain)

• Understanding of REST APIs and REST-based AI services

• Awareness of containerization technologies (Docker) and model deployment processes

• Experience with speech, vision, or NLP integrations (e.g., Whisper, OCR, embeddings)

• Insight into open-source technology

• Ideally, experience with Nextcloud AI features or similar platforms
