Azure Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical aspects of TQA’s Microsoft practice within the United States.

• Direct solution design during active pursuits.

• Create and manage technical documentation for proposals, statements of work, and RFP responses.

• Assess scope, effort, delivery framework, and commercial risk.

• Act as the senior technical representative in pitches, executive briefings, and competitive evaluations.

• Conduct discovery workshops, assessments, and architectural reviews.

• Develop and productize scalable solution offerings.

• Create and maintain offering assets, including reference architectures, demonstrations, and estimation models.

• Manage architecture for Microsoft engagements based in the US from design authority to production.

• Establish technical quality standards and review delivery outcomes.

• Uphold governance and security standards.

• Address technical escalations on active accounts.

• Transform completed work into client-approved references and case studies.

• Mentor consultants and developers while supporting practice skills development.

• Foster relationships with Microsoft field teams.

• Assist in co-selling initiatives, joint account planning, and Microsoft-sourced pipeline development.

• Lead funded Azure pre-sales engagements, assessments, proofs of value, and migration or modernization strategies.

• Represent TQA at Microsoft field briefings, partner events, and joint customer workshops.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years in Microsoft-stack consulting or solution architecture.

• At least 3 years of experience shaping solutions in active pursuits (pre-sales, bidding, or solutioning).

• Experience in enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure architecture and delivery.

• Familiarity with landing zones, subscription design, identity management, networking, security, and cost management.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric or a similar enterprise data platform, including capacity and licensing models.

• Proficiency with Azure data services.

• Experience in designing AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry or Azure OpenAI.

• Knowledge of retrieval strategies, service selection, quota and cost management, evaluation, and responsible AI.

• Ability to differentiate when an agent should be utilized in Copilot Studio versus Foundry.

• Commercial experience in drafting proposals, facilitating deal closures, and leading pitches.

• Skills in estimating and pricing work.

• Experience collaborating with Microsoft account teams, partner investment funding, and co-sell referrals.

• Background in transitioning cloud, data, or agent estates from pilot phases to governed scale.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or its current equivalent; active or lapsed but renewed within the first 90 days.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Right to work in the United States at the time of application.

• Ability to differentiate between generally available features and preview features while staying updated on platform changes.
