Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and expand cloud infrastructure alongside CI/CD capabilities that support healthcare applications and services.

• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code through Terraform, encompassing modules, state management, and CI enforcement.

• Ensure compliance across DevOps processes to align with SOC 2, HIPAA, and internal security standards utilizing Checkmarx and SonarQube.

• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services.

• Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams for continuous monitoring, evidence collection, and security evaluations.

• Deliver infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows and take part in an on-call rotation.

• Enforce and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design assessments.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot ETL and data integration workflows across production, QA, and development environments.

• Analyze and address incidents, job failures, and performance challenges related to Informatica workflows, mappings, and SQL jobs.

• Own and maintain ETL components including Informatica mappings, metadata, scripts, schedules, and operational procedures.

• Enhance performance, scalability, and reliability of existing ETL jobs and processes.

• Ensure the stability of data ingestion pipelines covering batch, near-real-time, and real-time patterns.

• Collaborate with DBAs and Data Architects on partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies.

• Develop or modify SQL scripts, stored procedures, database triggers, and queries for incident resolution, change requests, and performance tuning.

• Work alongside cross-functional and offshore teams to address issues, meet support SLAs, and adhere to operational guidelines.

• Manage concurrent support tickets, change requests, and enhancement tasks based on business impact and urgency.

• Ensure adherence to support, development, coding, testing, and change-management standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must reside in the United States, either in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia.

• Proof of US citizenship is required at the time of hire.

• Work authorization that does not currently, nor will in the future, require visa sponsorship.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.

• At least 3 years of practical experience in both Azure and AWS.

• Proficiency in YAML-based pipelines, including multi-stage pipelines, reusable templates, variable groups, and environments.

• Expertise in Azure DevOps and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipeline governance.

• Proficient in using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Expertise with Azure Cosmos DB, Kubernetes platforms like AKS and EKS, or GitOps tools such as Argo CD and Flux.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as Azure Application Insights, New Relic, Azure Monitor, and CloudWatch.

• Relevant certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-400.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
