AWS Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and manage data platforms on AWS utilizing Glue, EMR, Lake Formation, EC2, and CloudWatch

• Develop and optimize data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL

• Implement open table formats such as Apache Hudi or Apache Iceberg

• Automate infrastructure and deployments through Terraform (IaC)

• Establish validation, cleansing, security, and monitoring mechanisms for data

• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable data products

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AWS data services, particularly Glue, EMR, and Lake Formation

• Proficiency in Python, advanced PySpark, and SQL

• Practical experience with Apache Hudi or Apache Iceberg

• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code

• Knowledge of data security, governance, quality, and optimization

• Advanced English (C1) and excellent communication skills

• Desirable: experience in financial services or investment banking, real-time processing with Apache Flink or Kafka Streams, and event-driven architectures
