This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the comprehensive response strategy for intricate L&A and TPA RFI/RFPs.

• Oversee the intake process and systematic breakdown of RFI/RFP requirements.

• Facilitate solution development sessions with subject matter experts, delivery leads, product managers, and technology architects.

• Create compelling win themes, distinctive features, and executive summaries.

• Maintain an easily accessible library of reusable proposal content.

• Lead proposal evaluations up to the final submission stage.

• Represent the solution during oral presentations, client Q&A sessions, and BAFO negotiations.

• Design target operating models for L&A policy administration, platform transitions, and managed TPA services.

• Define the scope, phases, integration architecture, data migration, hosting models, and governance frameworks.

• Conduct client technical due diligence workshops and align requirements with EXL platform capabilities.

• Develop architecture decision records and solution blueprints.

• Ensure that designs adhere to insurance regulations and privacy standards.

• Utilize operational expertise throughout the policy lifecycle, including claims, billing, commissions, reinsurance, and regulatory support.

• Structure TPA service models utilizing RACI, SLA frameworks, and performance metrics.

• Provide guidance on workforce optimization, automation, and operational transformation roadmaps.

• Manage estimation governance and lead cross-disciplinary estimation workshops.

• Create ROM, detailed, and fixed-price estimation models.

• Maintain estimation intelligence and calibrate estimates against actual results.

• Define pricing strategies and model commercial scenarios and sensitivities.

• Mentor junior architects and analysts.

• Collaborate with Sales and Account leadership on qualification and pursuit strategies.

• Conduct discovery workshops with client stakeholders.

• Develop solution presentations, roadmaps, and executive briefing materials.

• Lead RFP oral presentations, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions.

• Transition secured deals to Delivery and assist with project kickoff.

• Monitor competitor positioning, conduct win/loss analyses, and identify emerging client needs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

• 10 to 15 years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance, with significant operational or TPA administration experience.

• At least 5 years in presales, solution consulting, or solution architecture, supporting complex RFI/RFP responses and client-facing solution design.

• Demonstrated experience leading estimations for multi-million-dollar L&A platform implementations, conversions, or TPA managed-service projects.

• Extensive knowledge across Term Life, Universal Life, Whole Life, Variable Life, Fixed/Variable Annuities, Indexed Annuities, Group Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care.

• Practical experience with LifePRO, FAST, ALIP, DXC VANTAGE, Oracle Insurance, or similar platforms.

• Strong understanding of TPA operating models, SLA design, operational governance, and performance management frameworks.

• Experience in authoring and successfully winning competitive RFI/RFP responses within the insurance BPO/BPaaS or platform services sector.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, process and architecture diagrams, and Word.

• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, ETL pipelines, data migration, middleware, and microservices.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud hosting and SaaS delivery models.

• Exposure to RPA, intelligent document processing, predictive underwriting, and claims triage.

• Capability to interpret actuarial summaries, operational KPI reports, and financial models.

• Working knowledge of NAIC model regulations, state-level insurance codes, and regulatory filing procedures.

• Understanding of SOX controls, CCPA, and HIPAA data-privacy requirements.

• MBA or Master's degree is preferred.

• LOMA FLMI, FLHC, or ACS designation is preferred.

• Experience with EXL platform solutions or BPO service lines is preferred.

• Experience in Agile and hybrid delivery environments is preferred.

• Background in reinsurance administration, group benefits, or worksite voluntary benefits is preferred.

• Previous P&L accountability or commercial ownership is preferred.
