AVP, Contract Surety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Promote and underwrite the designated Surety portfolio within the East Region.

• Sustain current broker relationships while suggesting new ones.

• Effectively market Surety capabilities.

• Underwrite profitable business ventures in the United States.

• Mentor, train, and support the development of junior underwriters.

• Implement the strategic business plan established with the Regional Surety Manager.

• Create and underwrite a profitable Surety portfolio by engaging with both existing and new local broker relationships.

• Consistently and transparently document decisions and recommendations.

• Conduct account and portfolio underwriting in alignment with Allianz Trade underwriting guidelines and portfolio management standards.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the Americas and internationally to maximize Surety capabilities and the existing customer base.

• Attend industry groups and local Surety events as requested by the Regional Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of industry experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Surety within the U.S. local market.

• Proven capability to underwrite and expand a Surety portfolio.

• Strong relationships with local brokers.

• Recognized expertise in underwriting Surety accounts and associated risks.

• Proven history of successful underwriting results.

• Entrepreneurial mindset to establish and achieve goals and objectives.

• Established track record in developing business with brokers.

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business, economics, or finance.

• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence technologies.

• Passion for learning and incorporating AI into daily business practices.
