
AVP – Acute Care Pharmacy Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee national acute care pharmacy operations.
• Provide operational guidance across more than 100 acute care hospitals.
• Develop and enforce pharmacy operational standards and initiatives across various markets.
• Discover opportunities to enhance pharmacy operations, processes, technology, safety, and outcomes.
• Drive national initiatives from initial concept to full implementation.
• Collaborate with market pharmacy leaders, hospital presidents, CEOs, and other senior executives.
• Foster trust and alignment within a complex, decentralized organization.
• Encourage leadership development, professional growth, and succession planning.
• Cultivate relationships with pharmacy leaders and advocate for a robust national pharmacy community.
• Offer executive-level oversight pertaining to pharmacy policy, regulatory compliance, controlled substances, technology, medication safety, and operational standards.
• Pharmacist credential must be obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
• At least 5 years of cumulative leadership or management experience is required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience is necessary.
• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in hospital/acute care pharmacy is required.
• The current or most recent position must be within a hospital/health-system environment.
• Leadership experience at the Manager, Director, Assistant Director, VP, or comparable level is essential.
• Hospital pharmacy leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency, especially a hospital pharmacy residency, is preferred.
