This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Provide comprehensive system engineering and quality assurance for integrated audiovisual and video conferencing technologies.
β’ Execute the installation of AV systems, encompassing first-fix works, containment, cable pulling, structural fixings, second-fix equipment installation, patching, configuration, handover checks, and commissioning support.
β’ Work collaboratively with installation teams, lead engineers, project managers, systems design and project engineering teams, programmers, and logistics support.
β’ Analyze and adhere to technical and construction drawings.
β’ Prepare equipment and components for forthcoming installations.
β’ Uphold onsite housekeeping standards.
β’ Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance visits, troubleshoot, and perform repairs.
β’ Sustain installation processes and effective working methods to enhance efficiency and project delivery.
β’ Participate in team briefings, contributing ideas and suggestions.
β’ Update the Lead Engineer and Project Manager on progress and challenges encountered.
β’ Offer post-installation feedback and support, including assistance with commissioning and snagging.
β’ Assist with AV meeting rooms, multimedia presentations, broadcasting, and emergency/ad-hoc requests.
β’ Conduct preventative room checks, report faults, provide initial diagnosis and minor fault rectification, and manage power down/up tasks as necessary.
β’ Possess a positive attitude and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
β’ Adaptable to varied working schedules, including evenings and weekends.
β’ Capable of working independently when required.
β’ Proficient in reading and comprehending AV schematics.
β’ Skilled in data collection, reporting, metrics, and administrative tasks.
β’ Familiarity with AV/VC systems in a corporate setting, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco, BlueJeans, and Pexip.
β’ Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
β’ Understanding of audio and video protocols and codecs.
β’ Ability to draft and deliver technical reports in English.
β’ Experience in installing modern audio, videoconferencing, and AV systems.
β’ Awareness of the complexities involved in end-to-end audiovisual and video installation projects.
β’ Willingness to work evenings, overnight, and weekends as required.
