Automotive Translator – Chinese to Thai/Malay/Indonesian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Execute post-editing of machine translations to enhance precision, fluency, consistency, and adherence to terminology/style guidelines.

• Conduct proofreading and perform final quality assurance checks for language, terminology, formatting, numerical values/units, and overall delivery readiness.

• Utilize CAT tools and adhere to established project quality assurance workflows.

• Translate and review materials related to automotive and technical fields, including product/feature content, technical documents/manual excerpts, after-sales/service information, and training materials.

• Provide support for long-term freelance collaborations and respond to urgent requests as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Thai, Indonesian, or Malay is preferred.

• Experience in technical localization is required.

• Background in automotive localization is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills are essential.

• Dependable turnaround times are expected.

• Capability to assist with urgent requests when needed.

• A linguistic test is required (TR / MTPE / PR).

• Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Smartcat is necessary.

• A CV and relevant experience must be provided.

• Information regarding CAT tools used and availability/time zone must be submitted.
