Automotive Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily execution of the national automotive field-services program

• Mentor, guide, and ensure accountability among regional Team Leaders and field consultants

• Act as the main point of contact for clients and manage daily operations

• Establish a daily operational rhythm, including meetings, escalation reviews, and follow-ups

• Define priorities and expectations while driving performance toward program goals

• Coordinate communications, manage resources, and report to senior management

• Develop and implement project work plans, adjusting as necessary

• Monitor deliverables, issues, risks, and action items until resolution

• Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and quality of work products; implement QA and peer-review processes

• Collaborate with data analytics/BI to convert reports into actionable insights for the field

• Work alongside client teams to achieve financial and customer satisfaction objectives

• Assess resource and staffing requirements

• Negotiate and manage client expectations and commitments

• Track objectives and provide constructive feedback on performance

• Create processes and metrics to enhance performance and apply LEAN principles

• Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain field personnel

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and support transition/stabilization phases

• Deliver regular financial and program updates to clients and MSX senior management

• Travel frequently and as needed to client and field locations

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the industry, with at least 5 years in project and/or program management

• Proven history of delivering complex, performance-focused programs

• Experience in influencing and networking within a matrix organization

• Familiarity with project management methodologies

• Professional analytical skills necessary to identify trends, opportunities, and anomalies

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities

• Skills in team-building and participative management

• Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision

• High proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office applications

• Experience leading large teams across diverse geographical locations

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience

• Knowledge in dealership operations and/or automotive field services

• Basic understanding of automotive repair and technology

• Prior experience in program management is essential

• Proficient in professional-level communication in English and any additional languages required by the project client

• Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Power Apps

• Comfortable interpreting dashboards and reports to inform team priorities

• Capable of executing reporting, group facilitation, coaching, and delivering products/deliverables

• Ability to make business decisions based on logical reasoning and provide solution-oriented outcomes

• Proven capability to function effectively with limited management oversight

• Physical ability to travel for multiple days, engage in extended activities during meetings and field visits, and lift at least 50 lbs.
