This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance critical automation solutions for the business.
• Create Python automations that encompass API integrations, data pipelines, scheduled tasks, and process substitutions.
• Oversee, troubleshoot, repair, and modernize unattended Power Automate flows, both cloud and desktop.
• Manage Power Platform environments, solutions, connection references, and deployments through pipelines.
• Transition Power Automate flows to Python when suitable and phase out outdated flows.
• Integrate systems via REST APIs, managing JSON/XML transformations, authentication, and endpoint errors.
• Develop SQL queries, tables, and stored procedures to support automation initiatives.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for jobs.
• Write runbooks and enhance automation operations.
• Assess and assist in migrating scheduled VM jobs to containerized or Azure-native execution, including Functions and Container Apps.
• Utilize AI coding tools in accordance with company governance and review standards.
• Document automation solutions for engineers and operational partners.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and non-technical process owners.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of automation solutions from development and deployment to monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken (C1 level), with outstanding communication abilities.
• Expertise in Python, including clean scripting, packaging, error management, structured logging, and testing.
• Strong knowledge of Power Automate, particularly with unattended cloud and desktop flows.
• Capability to support Power Platform administration, encompassing environments, solutions, connection references, and pipeline-managed deployments.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in automation engineering, RPA, or software engineering roles that involved automations deployed to production and subsequently operated.
• Experience with REST API integration, including authentication methods and rate-limit management.
• Proficient in SQL Server, including T-SQL and the ability to author queries, tables, and stored procedures via a reviewed and versioned release process.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Daily experience with AI-assisted development and a proven current use of AI coding tools in practical applications.
• Knowledge of PowerShell and Shell scripting for both Windows and Linux environments.
• Production instincts, including handling idempotent jobs, implementing retries with backoff, and establishing effective alerting mechanisms.
• Availability to work during USA ET business hours.
• Capacity to maintain focus for extended periods.
• Willingness to work additional hours on short notice to meet objectives.
