Auto Damage Trainee – Field

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide support and solutions to clients following an accident.

• Evaluate and assess the damage to vehicles.

• Estimate the costs associated with vehicle repairs.

• Negotiate fair settlements.

• Collaborate with body shops, rental agencies, and parts suppliers.

• Consult with all parties involved and review insurance policies.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and draft estimates.

• Manage rental vehicle arrangements.

• Address customer concerns to ensure a positive experience.

• Enhance customer satisfaction through impactful interactions.

• Complete 3 weeks of essential hands-on training at the Ashburn, VA facility, followed by 2 weeks at a field training center in NY, TX, or CA.

• Responsible for the Syracuse, NY field territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferably have customer-facing experience.

• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measurable objectives is preferred.

• Active Adjusters license is preferred; training and examination fees will be covered.

• High School Diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.

• Must possess a valid driver's license that adheres to company underwriting guidelines.

• Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and empathy.

• Must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing and multitasking across various platforms.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

• Currently, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
