This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Submit timely and precise authorization requests to insurance providers and payers.
• Establish and manage patient accounts within the system.
• Collect and assess clinical documentation to confirm medical necessity.
• Interact with healthcare professionals to gather necessary authorization details.
• Validate insurance benefits and eligibility for services rendered.
• Track the status of authorization requests and follow up as required.
• Ensure adherence to payer requirements and regulations.
• Utilize basic medical coding, diagnosis codes, and medical terminology during the authorization process.
• Keep comprehensive records and documentation for all authorization activities.
• Work in conjunction with billing and claims teams to address authorization-related challenges.
• May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and support various referrals/priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong self-discipline in meeting productivity expectations.
• Must possess attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Familiarity with basic medical coding, diagnosis codes, and medical terminology.
• Experience in healthcare/medical billing is preferred.
• Must be able to work remotely during PST/MST hours.
