This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Initiate, follow up, acquire, and verify authorizations, referrals, and notifications using the appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes within designated timeframes.

• Operate in a call center environment while achieving individual quality performance metrics.

• Manage patient flow to ensure prompt processing.

• Stay informed about practices utilized within the department, physician practices, and hospital to effectively address patient inquiries or concerns.

• Maintain awareness of insurance requirements, BHSF pricing, financial assistance options, and the overall operations of the BHSF Revenue Cycle.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service excellence to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma is mandatory.

• At least 1 year of experience in validating and obtaining authorizations from insurance payers.

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.

• Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Familiarity with medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems, with accurate typing skills.

• Understanding of regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
