Audit Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Assist in the onboarding process for new audit clients, which includes managing audit workflows and necessary documentation.

• Engage in audit tasks such as risk evaluation, planning, fieldwork, workpaper creation, and completing audit programs.

• Utilize company software for audit-related, reporting, and compliance activities.

• Create audit schedules, management letters, reconciliations, and other relevant audit documentation.

• Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial statements.

• Examine financial data to pinpoint trends, anomalies, and potential audit risks.

• Investigate complex auditing, accounting, and regulatory issues and offer practical solutions.

• Support US federal and state compliance requirements, year-end reporting, and filing assistance.

• Collaborate across accounting, tax, and audit engagements, including bookkeeping, tax return preparation, and financial reporting support.

• Participate in special projects and assist with the preparation of financial reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, economics, or business.

• Over 5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and/or tax, including leading fieldwork or reviewing the work of junior staff.

• Comfortable navigating audit, accounting, and tax engagements; candidates with an audit-only focus may not be an ideal match.

• Turkish CPA (SMMM) or Turkish Sworn-in CPA (YMM) License is a significant advantage.

• Experience in public accounting or external auditing is highly valued.

• Familiarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS is a plus.

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with audit or accounting software systems is beneficial.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Business English; interviews will be conducted in English.

• Ability to perform sophisticated and innovative analysis of complex financial data and identify risk areas.
