Audit Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance on audit and compliance engagements that support DoD financial systems, including JTMS and associated ERP or logistics platforms.

• Set and uphold audit work standards that align with GAGAS and federal audit regulations.

• Contribute to the achievement of FIAR objectives and DoD auditability targets.

• Oversee the testing of internal controls, documentation, remediation tracking, and risk assessments.

• Manage audit support activities for SOC-1 Type I and Type II.

• Facilitate walkthroughs, control testing, and inquiries from auditors.

• Assess the design and operational effectiveness of controls.

• Ensure that remediation plans are executed and properly documented.

• Identify recurring themes in audits and systemic control challenges.

• Propose improvements to financial system controls, reporting processes, and governance frameworks.

• Enhance analytical frameworks that support financial accountability in transportation and system traceability.

• Foster innovative service offerings that align with DoD digital modernization efforts.

• Offer best-practice audit advice and feedback to government stakeholders, external auditors, functional leads, and system owners.

• Assist with SOC-1 audit readiness and ongoing sustainment activities.

• Integrate service organization control processes and enhance ICFR.

• Oversee agile system implementations and ensure compliance with GAGAS and relevant federal standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• An active Secret Clearance.

• Over 5 years of experience in supporting DoD or federal financial audit engagements.

• Familiarity with DoD financial management environments.

• Understanding of internal controls.

• Knowledge of SOC-1 audit requirements.

• Awareness of GAGAS standards.

• Proficiency in federal financial compliance frameworks.

• CPA, CGFM, CDFM, or PMP certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
