This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Convert patents from Simplified Chinese to Japanese within the Electricity sector.

• Translate and review patent documents related to Electricity and Chemistry.

• Manage an anticipated workload of 2,000–5,000 words weekly.

• Utilize the XTM CAT tool for translation tasks.

• Become a part of Welocalize’s external partner network upon approval.

• Provide detailed professional information to global Production teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in translating and/or editing patent documents, particularly in Electricity and Chemistry.

• Proficient in using CAT tools, especially XTM.

• A multilingual background is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Good availability with prompt response times.

• Previous experience in patent translation and proofreading is essential.

• Capability to translate from Simplified Chinese to Japanese.

• Candidates selected must complete a translation test from Simplified Chinese to Japanese.
