This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the Community Partnerships Team in crafting a collaborative experience for the Youth Mental Health Corps spanning 16 states.

• Design and facilitate monthly virtual gatherings to nurture supportive connections, tackle challenges, and celebrate achievements.

• Utilize an LMS/digital platform for both synchronous and asynchronous training and professional development resources.

• Deliver training and coaching on near-peer mentoring, skills-based mental health education, exploration of the behavioral health field, secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and youth advocacy.

• Ensure access to mental health support and resources.

• Establish monthly feedback systems for Youth Mental Health Corps members.

• Foster relationships and conduct in-person visits with AmeriCorps programs, host sites, and members.

• Monitor member attendance data and analyze exit surveys.

• Collaboratively design, develop, and execute a Youth Mental Health Corps Leadership Fellows Program.

• Assist in the Fellows nomination process.

• Co-create leadership and development curriculum.

• Identify certification opportunities for Leadership Fellows.

• Conduct outreach to recruit Leadership Fellows.

• Lead meetings for the fellowship.

• Gather and manage exit survey data from fellowship meetings.

• Report directly to the Director of School-Based Programs.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in program implementation and enhancing community mental health awareness.

• Capable and willing to work remotely.

• Detail-oriented and proficient in managing a variety of tasks efficiently.

• Ability to facilitate large groups virtually.

• Strong enthusiasm for PHE’s mission, aligning with its core values of Health Equity, Commitment, Communication, Agency, and Impact.

• Prioritizes youth inclusion, community partnership, and equity work through active listening and engagement.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Education, or a related field is preferred.

• Previous experience as an AmeriCorps member is preferred.

• Must either reside in or be prepared to relocate within 30 days to California, Illinois, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, New York, or Georgia.
