Associate Technical Architect – SD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and sustain efficient batch and stream data ingestion pipelines capable of processing high-volume HL7 v2 and FHIR messages.

• Create secure, automated server-to-server connections with hospital EHRs and clinical networks utilizing OAuth 2.0 asymmetric authentication.

• Execute schema evolution checks, automated error management, deduplication, and real-time data transformation protocols.

• Ensure that data ingestion processes adhere to PHM, HIPAA, SOC 2, and data privacy regulations with full auditability.

• Address network bottlenecks and enhance distributed queries across intricate on-premise and hybrid cloud setups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience.

• In-depth knowledge of Epic modules: Ambulatory, Inpatient, and MyChart.

• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7 v2, Epic Interconnect, Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.

• Experience in designing enterprise SaaS microservices using ReactJS and Python APIs (FastAPI, Flask, Django).

• Proficiency with containerized or serverless AWS services, such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS.

• Capability to define requirements, design database interactions, interpret complex workflows, and balance custom coding with native Epic functionalities.

• Experience in developing unit and integration testing strategies using Pytest, Jest, and React Testing Library.

• Knowledge of Git version control.

• Background in technical architecture documentation.

• Ability to lead code reviews and resolve cross-environment production challenges.

• Skill in managing customer-facing communications and collaborating within distributed Agile teams.

• Preferred: Experience with Epic's App Orchard program, healthcare integration engines, clinical terminology and workflows, GenAI/ML solution design, GenAI and automation in the SDLC, healthcare data pipelines, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, healthcare digital transformation, and NoSQL databases.
