Associate Technical Architect – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish and advance the architectural vision for cloud-based solutions.

• Oversee the design and execution of a robust pipeline infrastructure.

• Coordinate integration flows between upstream RPA processes, the AR tool backend, and downstream systems.

• Engage with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and clients.

• Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and in alignment with business goals.

• Facilitate architecture reviews and promote engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience.

• In-depth knowledge in designing and architecting scalable, secure, and highly available AWS platforms.

• Proficiency with AWS services such as VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, EC2, SQS, SSM, ASG, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, Glue, EMR, KMS, EKS, ECR, RDS, Boto3, Python, and Shell Scripting.

• Technical experience in designing and managing end-to-end platform integration architectures.

• Experience with integrating upstream systems, third-party ERP applications like BaaN, SAP, and Oracle, as well as internal services and downstream applications.

• Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, API Gateway, OAuth, JWT, API Keys, API lifecycle management, integration patterns, and secure third-party connectivity.

• Extensive experience in AWS IAM security governance, including IAM Roles, Policies, Cross-Account Access, Permission Boundaries, SCPs, and enterprise identity and access management.

• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

• Expertise in designing enterprise CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Familiarity with automated testing, security scanning, and deployment governance.

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancers, Route 53, DNS, PrivateLink, and hybrid connectivity.

• Experience with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, dashboards, centralized logging, and alerting frameworks.

• Proficient in Python, Bash, PowerShell, and AWS SDK (Boto3).

• Skills in technical solution design, stakeholder management, technical leadership, documentation, and mentoring.

• Experience working with event-driven and microservices architectures.

• Knowledge of AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zone, governance frameworks, and FinOps best practices.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS, and service mesh technologies.

• Knowledge of tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, or OpenSearch.

• Experience with Kafka, Amazon MSK, MQ, or EventBridge.

• Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability architecture.

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional, Security Specialty, or Advanced Networking – Specialty.

• Experience in Agile, DevOps, and Platform Engineering environments.
