Associate, Strategy & Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Contribute to data- and research-driven strategic initiatives aimed at shaping Tonal's short- and long-term strategy.

• Integrate and assess quantitative and qualitative research and data sets to derive insights, hypotheses, implications, and recommendations.

• Perform market and competitive analysis across consumer hardware, fitness, wellness, and related technology to guide executive-level strategic discussions.

• Develop financial models and business cases to assess strategic options, new market opportunities, and investment decisions.

• Generate critical analyses and provide negotiation support, collaborating closely with internal and external partners to structure and execute transactions.

• Manage the strategic partnership processes from start to finish: sourcing, evaluation, financial modeling, and creating internal recommendation materials.

• Collaborate across departments such as Finance, Product, Revenue, and Operations to formulate and rigorously test strategic frameworks.

• Aid in framing and communicating key findings, including materials for the board, executive presentations, and strategic memos.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a highly analytical and strategic capacity.

• Skilled in financial modeling, valuation, and financial analysis.

• Proven track record of tackling complex, ambiguous, and analytically demanding challenges.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives.

• Self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, resource-limited, and fluid environment.

• Eagerness to embrace increased responsibilities and take charge of projects.

• Enthusiastic about fitness and wellness.

• Bachelor's degree is required; a strong academic record is preferred.
