Associate Solutions Engineer, Aerospace & Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Provide support for quoting, data organization, and technical documentation related to intricate customer programs, which include BOMs, RFQs, and specification evaluations.

• Assist in the development of internal cost models and quoting tools.

• Facilitate communication with suppliers and monitor quality documents throughout the solution lifecycle from the award stage to delivery.

• Engage in cross-functional meetings that connect engineering, sales, and operations teams.

• Lead a capstone mini-project aimed at enhancing process efficiency, such as automating a quoting workflow, creating a reporting dashboard, or optimizing documentation.

• Establish and showcase DFx best practices across various manufacturing disciplines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, which may include internships or co-op positions.

• Fundamental understanding of CNC Machining, Additive Manufacturing, Wire Harness Assembly, Sheet Metal fabrication, and Welding.

• Proficiency in CAD software, with SolidWorks being preferred.

• Familiarity or coursework in interpreting Manufacturing Drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail when managing multi-line data, including Excel, Google Sheets, or ERP/CRM systems.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Comfortable engaging in technical discussions and presenting information to small groups.

• Ability to handle assignments with minimal supervision.

• Eagerness to learn about the custom manufacturing industry.
